Frozen Trident Experience

Service Description

During this 3 day, 2 night immersive experience, you will learn the ins and outs of dog mushing. You will learn to care for, harness, hook up and drive your own dog team. This experience is designed to give you an authentic look into what it takes to be a dog musher in the interior of Alaska. Tentative schedule: Day 1: Check in 3pm. Meet dogs, perform kennel chores (feeding/cleaning/ prepping), familiarize with mushing equipment and protocol, mushing demonstration. Dinner provided. Day 2: Mushing through Two Rivers trail system (30-50 miles depending on conditions) and kennel chores. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Day 3: Puppy walk. Breakfast provided. Checkout 11 am. Accommodations: 1 room 8’x20’ dry cabin with woodstove. Includes: Full size bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dry sink, and basic kitchen essentials. Water and wood provided. Outhouse located behind cabin. Meals: Please let us know in advance if you have special dietary needs. Gear: Depending on your size, we can provide most cold weather gear. This will be determined ahead of time. You are responsible for base layers (wool is suggested). Proper gear is essential to making the most of your experience and keeping you safe. If we do not have outer layers (parka, bibs, boots) in your size, you must procure them prior to arrival to the kennel. Additional services available: Transportation and professional photography.
